In accordance with R.S. 18:431, as amended, notice is hereby given by GREG AUCOIN, Clerk of Court and Parish Custodian of Voting Machines in and for the Parish of St. Mary, that he will hold general courses of instruction for persons interested in serving as Commissioner in Charge.

You must be a current commissioner who has served in at least 2 elections and who is not entitled to assistance in voting.

You must not have been convicted of an election offense.

Course of Instruction dates are as follows:

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2025 – Franklin

THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18, 2025 – Morgan City

You may call the Clerk of Court’s office, Election Department at 828-4100 Ext. 2222. You will be informed of the time and place this course will be conducted.  A certificate of instruction will be given to those successfully completing this course and those persons receiving this certificate will be eligible to serve as an Election Commissioner in Charge for the election year of 2026.

This course of instruction is for CURRENT COMMISSIONERS IN CHARGE or NEW COMMISSIONERS IN CHARGE.
